McLeod Construction
The company president, Robin McLeod, intends to be recognized for her professionalism, the quality of her work, and her integrity. Robin is a 1983 graduate of the University of South Carolina, with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. She worked as a structural engineer in Columbia, SC for seventeen years. She then turned her attention to the home building industry and has been in residential construction since that time. Today, Robin devotes her full attention toward construction and enjoys the process of creating new homes. Robin's husband, Nelson, recently retired from McEntire Air National Guard Base, where he served as the Base Engineer. Nelson has joined McLeod Construction as a partner and is working alongside his wife, building homes.
Robin and Nelson are both members of the Home Builders Association. Robin is currently serving as chairperson for the Kershaw County Chapter of the HBA and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia.
Robin and Nelson have two children, Michelle and Jay. It is common to see the whole family at the construction site, attending to the daily responsibilities. Michelle currently helps around the office, runs errands, and takes much of the credit for this website. Jay grew up watching homes being built and can be found on the jobsites performing a variety of tasks.
McLeod Construction homes can be found in Northeast Columbia, Blythewood, Elgin, Lugoff and Camden areas. Robin has built homes ranging from 1200 sf to 4000 sf. Because the business is privately owned, Robin and Nelson are in control of each project and inspect the quality of construction daily. The new home owners enjoy the individual attention that they deserve and McLeod Construction enjoys providing the quality homes which they promise.
